PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS OF DEVELOPMENT OF SEAPORTS ON THE DANUBE

Abstract

The article gives short activities of the seaports on the Danube. Named the priority directions of development. An urgent problem of port activity is the search for new, improvement of existing logistic routes. The problems of attraction of new goods are analyzed. It is noted that the activity of ports is also influenced by geopolitical factors. The main systemic problems of the development of seaports on the Danube are determined. Today, the problem of the lack of a tow of the ice class for work in the ice campaign is acute. Additional financing of technical re-equipment and modernization of port facilities is required. There is no effective mechanism of public-private partnership. The problem of overestimated port fees in Ukraine. The directions of their overcoming are indicated. The activity of the Izmail, Ust-Danube and Reni seaports is analyzed, problems are identified for each port, the ways of overcoming them are offered. Seaports on the Danube require state support through the creation of a favorable investment climate and a well thought out policy to reduce port duties.
