THEORETICAL ASPECTS OF MANAGING THE EFFICIENCY OF AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES

Economic activity is carried out under the influence of many factors, and therefore the management of the efficiency of an agricultural enterprise requires from the governing bodies specific skills and abilities, taking into account the peculiarities of the agrarian sphere, since the participants in the process are people, machines and a component of wildlife (animals, plants).
The purpose of the article is to analyze and generalize theoretical studies of the essence of «enterprise performance management»; the selection of indicators and the definition of the features of management of the effectiveness of the development of agricultural production.
From the point of view of methodological foundations, methods of making management decisions can be based on: intuition based on previously accumulated experience and the amount of knowledge in the field of agriculture; the concept of «common sense», a scientific and practical approach, involving the choice of optimal solutions using modern technical means, based on the processing of large amounts of information that help to justify decisions. The concept of «enterprise management efficiency» is specific; therefore its content follows from the essence of the economic category «efficiency», which was discussed in the article. The necessity has been substantiated, the essence has been analyzed and the author has given a definition of the concept of «enterprise performance management», which integrates the ability to manage various aspects of activities using the enterprise potential and available resources to increase its financial results.
Choosing the best option for a management system for an agricultural enterprise is a complex task that can be solved only through a deep organizational, technical and socio-economic analysis of production as a whole. Consequently, the effectiveness of the enterprise management system cannot be determined by any one indicator, but only in a comprehensive manner.
