THE ROLE OF ECONOMIC DIAGNOSTICS IN THE MANAGEMENT OF TRANSPORT INDUSTRY ENTERPRISES IN THE CONDITIONS OF MARTIAL LAW

Abstract

The article examines the role of economic diagnostics in the management system of transport industry enterprises under martial law and outlines priority ways for its improvement. It has been determined that in recent years, there has been an evolution of economic diagnostics from a financial analysis tool to a holistic strategic management system, enabling enterprises to adapt to the conditions of high uncertainty and identify hidden growth reserves. The specificity of diagnosing domestic transport industry enterprises under martial law is associated with both the study of their market positions and the assessment of their internal state.

It has been proven that the main tasks of economic diagnostics under martial law are: assessing the state of transport enterprises based on multi-scenario modeling; monitoring key performance indicators based on the maximum automation of analytical procedures using digital technologies for instant data collection and rapid managerial decision-making; and assessing the compliance of business entities with sustainability criteria to enhance their investment attractiveness.

The scientific novelty of the results obtained lies in substantiating the need to integrate an enterprise digital maturity index and environmental, social, and governance factors into the system of diagnostic indicators. The developed analytical solutions and recommendations allow management to respond promptly to the challenges of an unstable environment, ensuring the viability and strategic development of business entities in the transport industry.

The transformation of economic diagnostics towards digitalization and the incorporation of stakeholder interests are identified as a critical condition for ensuring the investment attractiveness and competitiveness of transport enterprises in crisis conditions.
