Adherence to International Standards

The Editorial Board of the Scientific Journal “Economics and Management”, adheres to the principles and recommendations of leading international organisations and initiatives in publication ethics and scientific communication.

Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)

In its activities, the academic journal is guided by COPE's core practices, which define standards of ethical editorial behaviour, including:

  • Ensuring transparent and clear editorial procedures at all stages of the publication process;
  • Adhering to the principles of objectivity and independence when making editorial decisions;
  • Upholding academic integrity and preventing misconduct in scientific publications;
  • Properly addressing issues of authorship and responsibility for research results;
  • Having effective mechanisms for handling complaints and ethical appeals;
  • Applying procedures for corrections, retractions, and notifying about violations.

World Association of Medical Editors (WAME)

The journal's editorial policy takes into account WAME's approaches to organising editorial activities, including:

  • Ensuring editorial autonomy in making publication decisions;
  • Mandatory disclosure of potential conflicts of interest by all participants in the publication process;
  • Maintaining appropriate quality and integrity of peer review;
  • Transparency of information about research funding sources;
  • Promoting the development of the academic community, including supporting early-career researchers.

San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA)

The academic journal supports DORA's approaches to responsible assessment of research outputs, including:

  • Focusing on research quality rather than formal bibliometric indicators;
  • Recognising different forms of research outputs, including data, software products, etc.;
  • Supporting interdisciplinary research;
  • Encouraging open science practices.

International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE)
